Figures emerging from the darkness. A technique utilized by the Baroque painters of the 1600s. Masters such as Caravaggio, Ribera and Stanzione are big influences to my art. I like the strong contrast also because of the extreemes we all experiece in life. Its the life or light that defines each of us.
